Twana Allen is a Dallas-based attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing children and parents in both private family law matters and cases involving the State of Texas. Originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, she moved to Dallas in 2003 after earning her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Her work spans the full scope of family law, including divorce, child custody and support, conservatorship, family violence matters, child abuse and neglect, termination of parental rights, adoptions, and related issues across families of all backgrounds, ages, and circumstances.

Her career includes serving as Partner at West & Associates, LLP; owning her own firm, the Law Office of Twana W. Allen; and working with the Federal Aviation Administration (while attending law school). She also teaches future legal professionals as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law.

Deeply engaged in the community, Ms. Allen is active with Concord Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, and multiple civic and legal organizations throughout Dallas County. She has been a featured speaker or presenter frequently speaks at schools, community forums, professional programs, and youth gatherings on topics such as family violence, cultural competence, leadership, and career readiness.

In her personal time, she truly enjoys her “auntie” time with her nieces and nephews, traveling, cooking, live music events, and exploring wine. Twana Allen is ready to bring Trust, Thoughtfulness, & Transparency to this bench.
